Word - Beginners In-Person
In this FREE Word - Beginners class, discover the basics of using Word to create documents. Topics covered include:
- Terminology
- Cut/copy/paste
- Text features
- Creating lists
- Layout
- Saving
- Editing
- Printing

Prerequisites
- Basic computer knowledge is required for this course, such as navigating screens and using a mouse.
What to Bring
- Flash drive
- Your valid Carrollton Public Library card or ID for a Guest Pass
- Information about getting a Library Card
- Pay any outstanding fines to an amount less than $10 BEFORE the class to make sure you can participate.
This program is for ADULTS:
- This class is NOT suitable for children
- Make arrangements for children to be supervised by someone other than library staff, outside of the classroom
Day of Class
- Class starts promptly at the designated time
- Registrants' seats are ONLY held for 10 minutes after the class start time
- If you do not have a Library card, talk with staff BEFORE class start time about getting a card or Guest Pass.
Space is limited. If you are unable to attend, please cancel via your email confirmation or contact the library.
